PREP
Being self-employed you can no longer rely on your employer to fill in the gaps of education in your PREP file/handbook. We'll be posting more information on how you can keep yours up to date, later this week.

BACN Meeting Worcester
Another fabulous meeting with the BACN today. Some key points I took away are:
- The NMC want to attend the next BACN conference (Book the 16th and 17th in your diaries for the BACN Conference)
- How to update your CPD/PREP portfolio to keep your pin numbers up to date. Reflective practice is the way forward. (We will email this out free of charge, just ask.)
- How to choose a good Non Medical (Nurse) Prescribing course. The BACN may compose a database of courses that people have been on. Things to look for are distance learning, does your course allow calculators (you must achieve 100% in the calculations exam to pass)
- The BACN are building a list of willing medical mentors for nurse prescribers
